In an effort to prepare for her upcoming freshman lacrosse season at RPI, we enrolled our daughter, Bridget, in Tim’s program for the summer. Tim recognized that Bridget was arriving to him as a college bound athlete and tailored a program to her. Bridget looked forward to her sessions and could see the improvement each week.
Upon arrival at opening practice Bridget came in as the fastest player on the team. Within a few weeks she had won a starting position for the fall season and, by the end of the season, was high scorer for RPI. Both the coach and her parents were amazed at the improvement in her speed, agility, and stamina on the field as compared to when we had last seen her play during her final high school lacrosse season.
The outcome of the process was more than enough to ensure that Bridget will be back with Tim this summer!
Thanks,
Mike Curtin

As a long distant runner for many years, it never crossed my mind to add a strength and conditioning program to my schedule. After all, any sort of weight training has always been frowned upon in my sport. However, recently I began to tap into the ultra distances of 50 and 100 milers and knew I was missing something after my quads gave out at mile 75 during my first attempt at the Vermont 100 miler last year.
Disappointed in what I thought was a great training regimen of logging in lots of miles, I soon reached out to my old friend, Tim Yuhas to get his thoughts. After my discussions with him and visiting his facility, I was sold on his training advice. Beginning in January I began his 3 day a week, adult program and after only a month I could feel the benefits of his program. In the spring I began upping my miles, but no where near the miles I logged in previous to last year's 100. Not only did I recover easier from longer and harder runs, but my hill running had improved immensely. This, based on Tim's advise of decreasing my miles a bit and work on my anaerobic capacity to help my aerobic capacity, had proved to be successful.
This past July I not only finished the 100, but I had no quad issues and noticed how much easier the Vermont hills had become for me. With my first 100 under my belt, I am ready for some stronger finishes in my 50k, 50 mile and 100 distances. There in no doubt that Tim is the most knowledgeable strength and conditioning coach in this area and beyond. If you are a runner of any distance, Tim can help you improve your body to be a more efficient and stronger runner.

"Without Tim, I would not be able to maintain the physical and mental demands of being a professional athlete. Over the past 10 seasons, I have played all over the country for 6 different organizations and worked with numerous strength coaches with countless backgrounds, certifications, and philosophies. With that being said, Tim's knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to keep up with the industry's growing trends and technologies makes him simply the best. It is amazing that Tim has provided our community with a state of the art facility right here in Southeastern, Connecticut. Hiring Tim as my full time trainer was the best move I ever made for both my career and quality of life."
